Inspiration
Approx. 160 cm length, 30 cm width, 45 cm height.
There was little or no technicality involved in the making of this seat.
Since we were given the liberty to design anything we wanted to, I focused on the activities in the garden which were mainly lunching and lounging in the sun with friends, hence a Lounge Seat for two. To provide support for the back, I made a back-to-back seating arrangement.

Material
We were to use only waste material. I choose to use newspapers as they were easily available in abundance. It was suprisingly difficult to find waste material. So, I sticked to using only newspapers.
Production
All the paper used in the making of the seat was rolled by hand and cello taped in place. The rolled newspaper was then glued together by wood-glue.
Finishing the project took quiet a lot of time and quiet a lot of glue and a lot of patience. There was no extra finishing required.

Aspects
The seat was very comfortable and could hold a lot of weight. It was quiet durable also considering the fact that it was only glued together.
The main downside, thought, was that it was very heavy and difficult to carry around.

Learning
This experience made me see how important it is to be quick to think on our feet especially as designers. We must always be ready and be prepared for a design oppoutunity. Since we were in an Art and Design school, I saw, in my own way, the relation between Art and Design more clearly.
The experience of going for an exchange and having the opportunity to interact with Art and Design students from all over the world has given me a lot of insight into the world of design and has motivated me much more in my choosen career of Design.
