This was a classroom Design Project. In this project we visited an on-going construction site. We took measurements of the spaces we wanted to design and worked on the layout and interior design individually.

Brief
(as mentioned above) To design interiors for a businessman of contemporary aesthetic sensibilities. He has a wife and two children (3 year olds). His middleaged parents live with them.

Concepts
The clients believe in 'Vastu Shastra' an ancient science of architecture and construction. According to it the bed should face south and the writting/study tables should face north.
The ideal design is to achieve a sophisticate and elegant interior.
To keep the space looking fresh and elegant I have kept the colour palette for the walls and basic furniture neutral, mostly working with white, grey, beige, brown and black. Colours are added to the mix with accessories.
The childrens room has fun and interesting furniture in bright colours.
The guest room has solid, dark furniture with pops of colour in the accessories.
The library has a stark contrast of black and white with accent colours in the accessories. The colours are provided by the books themselves.
